SHIPPING CONTAINER COMPLETE

Last week I wrapped up the shipping container I had been working on. Below is a quick video and some flicks shot by the ABV team.  I had a solid time transforming a recycled object into something functional. Looking forward to doing more of these in the future.

The question is.......can your stash hold a sign?

With the container's surface being beveled like it is, I'd imagine that this was no easy task. I've never seen anyone turn one of these into an office space, nor have i seen anyone paint this much of one on their own. 2 firsts for me... this is awesome.

Kid, the surface was a challenge for sure. When I originally saw it and was commissioned to paint it, I thought I'd do it with spray paint since it would be easier. After laying the outlines + proportions with spray paint and I decided the metal was smooth enough for brush work and I'd be happier with the outcome vs. it looking to spray painted. All in all, drawing strait lines on a beveled surface took some getting used to and photographing it was even rougher.. Nothing like a good challenge. Hopefully it's the first of many. Cheers!
